Have You Tried to Be the Difference?
Most people are taught from a very young age that they should make a difference in this world. People invest in their education, and parents send their children to the best schools to ensure they become successful. People invest in their job by doing overtime, working off the clock to make a difference. But the reality is overtime is not doing enough for you.
Perhaps, you are still having a hard time paying your bills and debts. Your health keeps going down the drain. But what most people do not know is that the change that needs to take place is inside of us. But, this can only happen when you have a vow with God.
“Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” -Malachi 3:18
Bishop David stated during the prayer for the Cry Out for a Difference, “Serving God is obeying His voice, doing what He tells you to do. Live by faith, have that boldness and that strength.” In this faith, Bishops and Pastors from all over the world will meet at the Temple of Solomon to cry out for the Difference to take place in your life.
The Cry Out For a Difference
In the middle of the program, the bishop shared the testimony of Deangelo Marcellus, whose father was the biggest drug dealer in the Bahamas and who died when he was only 12 years old. He held a grudge against the person that killed his father. Then, he began to fight a lot in school and rob people. He mentioned on the program that the police found over 2 million dollars of stolen goods inside of his home.
He was facing 18 years in prison. Upon leaving prison, Deangelo felt abandoned by his family and friends. “Everybody turned their backs on me.” Until he came to The Universal Church. “I came to church, and nobody judged me. I started coming on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Then the pastor explained to me about the Campaign of Israel. I took my savings and put it not the Altar and I said, “God Now You give to me.” From that day forward, he bought a brand new house and later developed his own cologne company. His family was restored and his finances are well.
Bishop David even mentioned Deangelo Marcellus and said, “Just like Deangelo, the way that we can be different in this world is when we have the Holy Spirit. When we have God’s Spirit living inside of us so, He changes us. We start to have God’s nature, we start to be like God, we start to have God’s ideas.
